Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge was a success! Meet this year’s winners from USD 383: Manhattan High School:
-First place winner, Crumbs to Heaven
-Second place winner, Amar Ties and
-Third place winner, New Boston Bagel
The next stop for our first place winners is the Kansas Entrepreneur Competition hosted by K-State in April. And we encourage all the student entrepreneurs to continue developing their business ideas in Applied Business next semester.
We had incredible participation and support from the community, with 1 Million Cups Manhattan community members and entrepreneurs, and judges and sponsors from NetWork Kansas, Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills, Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, Riley County K-State Research and Extension, Rockin K’s, K-State Innovation Partners, a student entrepreneur from K-State Center for Advancement of Entrepreneurship and Spark.
Plus, 4th graders from Flint Hills Christian School joined the event to interview students and begin planning their business and pitch competition next semester.
Today’s event was for and by the community, and we hope our high school entrepreneurs feel the support of the Greater Manhattan area cheering them on and betting on their success.
