The Flint Hills Business Launch class of 2022 graduated this Spring and we recently talked with one of the graduates, Jason Cabiad, founder of the Manhattan Card Show. His card show business is designed to share and sell ranging from sports memorabilia to pop culture collectibles in a family friendly environment.
Tell us about you, your business name, and what your business offers?
My name is Jason Cabiad, and I am a young entrepreneur in Kansas. The Manhattan Card Show is the name of my business, which is an all around collectibles show. We mainly deal in sports cards, sports memorabilia, and Pokémon cards, but we also provide a variety of collectibles such as comics, action figures, toys, and pop culture memorabilia. We provide a buy-sell-trade family-friendly environment for Manhattan every three months.
What’s something unique about The Manhattan Card Show?
We often do partnerships with the community, like on-site pet adoption with local agencies and old school arcade games at our shows. We have a cosplay contest and food trucks and are adding new things to every show.
Also, our logo is an NFT, and every one of are flyers are NFTs that we will auction off down the road. We take cryptocurrencies as payment for products as well, with some exciting stuff we have planned to roll out in the future.
You just graduated from Flint Hills Business Launch – congratulations! Share something you gained from the course.
In the course, the most useful information I learned were the legal responsibilities for my business.

What are your future plans with The Manhattan Card Show?
We are currently working on opening a brick and mortar here in town for collectibles. We are ever-growing and adapting to the community’s needs. We will be moving to doing shows every month of the year except December we have people that drive 4 hours away to our shows already and hope to expand into different areas in the future.
Thank you, Jason, for speaking with us today! We are cheering you on as you develop this niche community in the Manhattan area and beyond.
Come see the next show on August 13th-14th at the Hilton Garden Inn on Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm. Entry is free. There will be food trucks, arcade games, and card grading on site. Stay up to date with Jason’s business over on Facebook.
