On Tuesday, March 4, Kansas State University E-Club (Entrepreneurship Club) hosted the K-State Business Showcase on campus at the Business Building Atrium, where student-owned businesses were on display marketing their business to those who participated in the event.
Participants received $250 for attending and participating in the event for the chance to receive the People’s Choice Award. Event attendees were provided with a token to award to their favorite business at the event. At the end of the day, the business with the most tokens won the People’s Choice Award and an extra $250.
Hear from an E-Club executive officer, Isabella Perez, about the event: “The Business Showcase is a great opportunity for students, whether they have a business idea or an actual business they are running. It is an opportunity for them to market, build brand awareness, or grow their customer base. It is a good way to get more outreach to other students to support their local business.”
E-Club, an organization supported by the Center for Advancement of Entrepreneurship within K-State’s School of Business, is always looking to expand its organizational impact. Tara Ewing Gieber, K-State Instructor and Event Coordinator, describes the organization: “E-Club is a place for students to come together that are interested in entrepreneurship. We also give them opportunities to network with local entrepreneurs and also to connect with students who have an innovator’s mindset.”
